Identity

Do you know me?
What's my name?
When's my birthday?
Where do I live?
Why do I grieve?

Do you know me?
My favorite color?
Favorite food?
My cheek’s pallor,
When I don’t feel good?

Do you know me?
What do you call me?
Who are my friends?
What do I play?
When do I sleep?

Do you know me?
Where are my birthmarks?
My scars?
The deepest wounds
Of my bloodstained heart?

What makes me laugh?
What makes me angry?
Have you seen my soul,
It's hideous filth
Like darkness’s glow?

What do you know?
Don't tell me you know me
Because you don't know a thing.

And now you tell me I don't know you
That it's not the real you
But who are you really?
Are you the mask or the man?
'Cause you've worn your mask for far too long
You can't take it off now, you can't take it off.
